Actor Samuel L. Jackson

Jackson was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Jules Winnfield in "Pulp Fiction." He also also stars in the new film "Losing Isaiah," and will be in two upcoming films "Kiss of Death" and "Die Hard With a Vengeance." We replay our 1991 interview with him, after Jackson appeared in Spike Lee's "Jungle Fever." (Rebroadcast)

Samuel L. Jackson, Playing the 'Champ'

In his new film, Resurrecting the Champ, actor Samuel L. Jackson plays a homeless, broken-down former heavyweight contender. The movie is directed by Rob Lurie and set to open Aug. 24. Jackson's other films include Black Snake Moan, Pulp Fiction, Jungle Fever, Coach Carter, Freedomland and Unbreakable. He studied dramatic arts at Atlanta's Morehouse College, and after he graduated he originated two August Wilson roles — Boy Willie in The Piano Lesson and Wolf in Two Trains Running — at the Yale Repertory Theatre.

Alexandra Auder's mother, Viva, was one of Andy Warhol's muses. Growing up in Warhol's orbit meant Auder's childhood was an unusual one.
